The project’s participants recognize the importance of Public Outreach and engagement with general public, in particular the public in the countries of the participating teams. A number of activities promoting public awareness (and understanding) of science have been carried out by the project’s participants, including:
- A TV film for the Latvian national channel LTV7 explaining the importance of photonics for the public and economy (please, note that the research carried out in this project falls within the broader photonics sector, which is recognised as a Key Enabling Technology (KET) with the largest market potential among all KETs), see https://youtu.be/XD1eGSURcug
- An interview of A. Ekers in the Latvian national weekly magazine “IR” about his career in science and the perspectives of laser manipulation research in Latvia, see http://www.ir.lv/2013/3/27/lai-top-gaisma;
